Physical Therapy Insurance Information

Kinesis Physical Therapy and Performance is an “out of network” provider and we do not bill your insurance.

“WHAT? WHY!?”

We bill our patients directly, rather than haggling with insurance companies and paying overhead for billing and collections. This allows us to provide true ONE on ONE physical therapy that is highly specialized, individualized, and programmed to our specific patients. We are not a generic PT clinic in practice, thus we cannot operate as one financially.

“I need to use the health insurance I pay for!”

We provide our patients with a “superbill”. A superbill contains all the coding and information an insurance company requires on a bill. Patients can submit this superbill to their insurance to have it applied to their health insurance plan- similar to homeowners’ or auto insurance. Everyone’s specific PT coverage varies based on the plan they signed up for. Check with your agent for more information on your specific coverage. (WE CANNOT PROVIDE SUPERBILLS TO PATIENTS WHO HAVE MEDICARE. It is ILLEGAL to provide “cash” pay PT services to Medicare patients. Please call with questions.)

“That is inconvenient. I’d rather not do that.”

We recognize that this specific setup is not for everyone, and that’s okay. We are here to provide a unique PT experience to patients who value one on one, individualized, and specialized care. If those are not priorities for you, you would probably be a better fit elsewhere. We would be happy to help you find an alternative.
